Q: Do all veterans qualify for the Aid and Attendance pension benefit?
A: No. Only those veterans and surviving spouses who meet the Veterans Administration eligibility criteria. |

Q: What is the eligibility criteria that you must meet to receive the benefits?
A: You must have served at least 90 days active duty during a qualifying wartime period, must have an other than non-dishonorable discharge, and meet specific income and liquid asset tests. |

Q: If I qualify for the benefits what types of assistance can I receive?
A: This benefit is designed for those who need assistance with activities of daily living, such as; Bathing, dressing, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, shopping, respite care, etc. |

Q: If I qualify for the benefits where can I receive my care?
A: The benefits can be used to pay for assistance that is provided at home or at a facility homecare, assisted living or nursing home care. |

Q: How do I apply for this benefit?
A: Veterans Administration Form 21-526 is required. The application process will be explained to you in full when you call and speak to one of our representives. |

Q. What are the qualifying wartime periods?
A: WW 1, WW 11, Korean, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, and Iraq. (please ask one of representatives for the exact dates included in each of these wartime periods. |
